Dr. Teplitz - the "Energy
Doctor"!
Here is the latest issue of the Teplitz Email Report. Enjoy it.
Thirty Years As A
Speaker
This year is a milestone for me. I've now been doing Professional Speaking
and Consulting for 30 years. When I started the business in October 1974, I
was only speaking at Colleges and Universities on "How to Relax and
Enjoy...Being A Student and Passing Your Exams." I thought I'd do that for a
couple of years and when everyone knew how to relax, I'd go do something
else. Well guess what? I'm still at it 30 years later and still enjoying
what I do.

What To Do
About The Flu And How To Recover Faster
While I ran this article last year, since it's the flu season again I
thought you'd like to know this option.
Now there's something new and exciting that you can take to defend yourself
if you get the flu. It's an herb called Sambucol, which is made from
elderberries. In a study researchers gave half the patients Sambucol and the
rest a placebo.
In 3 days, 90% of the patients taking Sambucol were completely cured. Blood
tests showed the flu was completely gone. You can purchase Sambucol at your
local health food store.

Radiation And
Chemotherapy For Cancer Not Beneficial
In a study published in Lancet it was reported that successful cancer
surgery patients who received post surgery radiation were 21% more likely to
die than patients who received surgery alone.
Another study reported in Current Cancer Research took a look at
chemotherapy. It credited chemo with remission in only 7% of the cases and
it prolonged survival in only another 15% of the cases. In effect chemo was
useless almost 80% of the time.

New More Potent Form of
Echinacea Available
Dr. Julian Whitaker has discovered a new, highly potent form of Echinacea
called Echinamide(tm). Echinacea aims to stimulate the immune system. It
also is one of the few substances that fights both bacteria and viruses. Now
that flu season is definitely upon us having an even more powerful form of
Echinacea available can only help us defeat the ravages of the flu virus.
Echinamide(tm) is available from Healthy Directions at 800 722-8008.

Reducing The
Impact Of Stress And Fatigue
Are you feeling stress and fatigue? If so you are not alone.
Stress is all around us, from having to work longer hours to driving in rush
hour traffic. Having high levels of stress can lead to high blood pressure,
digestive problems, difficulty concentrating, impaired immune function and
increased risk of disease.
You can now get help reducing your stress and fatigue levels by taking
ginseng. There are two varieties that have the most beneficial impact on
stress - Panax and Siberian ginseng. Studies done over the past forty years
have validated the ability of Panax ginsengs to increase energy level, mood,
sexuality, sleep and work performance. Siberian ginseng has been shown to
help chronic fatigue syndrome, fatigue levels and repair the body's immune
functions.
The recommended dosage for Panax is 75 to 150 mg per day and for Siberian it
is 150 to 300 mg per day. The only warning is for Panax ginseng which in
high doses can cause insomnia, high blood pressure and heart palpitations.

Keeping A
Positive Attitude
There was a fellow who always had a positive attitude.
Whatever happened in life he always felt he had two choices - You can choose
to be a victim or you can choose to learn from it. You can choose to be in a
bad mood or you can choose to be in a good mood.
One day, he was shot by robbers. As he was being wheeled into the hospital
he knew he had two choices - he could choose to live or he could choose to
die. He chose to live.
When he saw the faces on the doctors and nurses in the emergency room he
read in their eyes "He's a dead man."
He knew he needed to do something, so when a nurse asked if he was allergic
to anything, he said "Yes, bullets." As they laughed, he said "I am choosing
to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead." He lived.
What choices are you going to make today? Are you going to choose the
positive or are you going to choose the negative. Remember, it really is a
choice we can all make.

Great Signs I've
Seen
A couple of weeks ago I was vacationing on St. Thomas in the
Virgin Islands. When I went over to St. John, I saw these signs. The first
said "No 24 Hour Parking. If you break this law, your car will be towed to
the dump." The second sign was in front of a dumpster. It said "If you are
blocking access to this container, your car will be crushed and thrown into
the dumpster." A great friendly message to tourists. So...when you're in St
John, watch where you park.

Reducing Cholesterol By
Fasting
Reader Kai Jelstrom emailed me about a book by Marjorie Swope
Reg. nutritionist/Dietician called The Roots and Fruits of Fasting. He said
studies reported in the book on fasting showed that the first place the body
begins to look for nutrition during a fast is the plaque on the walls of the
veins and arteries. So the ancient art of fasting had a very healthful
result in keeping the 'ancients' healthy. So...a fast day every once in a
while may really be beneficial for us all.

Comments From Reader
Poma Larsen wrote and said. "May thanks for sending the newsletter. It has
info that we don't find elsewhere." Thanks Poma, that's one of the things I
enjoy about doing the newsletter is finding information that's generally not
known.
That's it for this month.
