Getting Rid Of Dental Pockets Without Needing A Dentist


About 8 months ago, I went for my regular dental check up and they found that I had a pocket that was 12 mm deep and another on the same tooth that was 8 mm deep. My Dentist wanted me to see a Periodontist. While I made an appointment, it would be a month before I could get into see him, so I decided to do some research on alternative therapies.

 

Based on what I discovered, I found a liquid product called Ipsab that I began to squirt into both the pockets every day. I also starting taking a small amount of coconut oil and swishing it in my mouth and through my teeth in the morning while I was in the shower. I swooshed it around for about 15 minutes and then I spit it out and rinsed my mouth with water several times. Using coconut oil this way is called pulling.

 

So, four months later, the pocket that was a 12 dropped to an 8 and the pocket that was an 8 dropped to a 6. A few weeks ago, I went in for another four month follow-up visit and this time the 12 mm pocket had dropped to 6 and the 8 mm pocket had dropped to 5. In addition, the dental hygienist said that there was absolutely no plaque in either pocket and the gum tissue was even re-adhering to the tooth.

Even Time Magazine Now Says That Soda Is Bad For You 

An article that just appeared in the March 30, 2015 issue of Time reported on the negative effects of diet sodas. Here are some of the findings of the reporter. He found that since artificial sweeteners are 200 time sweeter than sugar and if you don’t burn the artificial sweetener off, it is going to be converted to fat because it fails to trigger the body’s feeling of satiety. He reported on a recent study finding that over a nine year period, diet soda drinkers gained nearly tripled the amount of abdominal fat  as compared to non diet soda drinkers.

 

Another study found that rats that were fed yogurt with artificial sweetener consumed fewer calories but they gained more weight than the rats fed with sugar sweetened yogurt. This means that artificial sweeteners can also lead to sugar cravings and weight gain.

 

A study in Nature found that artificial sweeteners changed the colonies of gut bacteria in mice which made the mice vulnerable to insulin resistance and glucose intolerance that can lead to Type 2 diabetes.

 

Finally, people who drank one can of diet soda a day had a 34% higher risk of metabolic syndrome which can lead to heart disease and Type 2 diabetes.

 

So…the question is to drink or not to drink diet soda or for that matter any soda. While I would recommend you stop drinking any kind of  soda, I’d especially recommend you stop drinking diet soda.

A Way To Stop Superbugs That Is Used In Europe

As you probably know more and more bacteria are becoming antibiotic resistant so that the drugs doctors use can’t stop the infection resulting in more deaths. Several examples of these drug resistant bugs are MRSA and E.coli.

 

In Eastern Europe, doctors are having great success stopping these drug resistant bugs by using viruses that eat bacteria. The viruses are called bacteriophages or phages for short. These are viruses that infect viruses and not humans. They are all around us and even inside us. The phages rely on bacteria to feed and replicate. The phages drill into a bacteria cell, hijack its DNA and reproduce itself until the bacteria cell bursts releasing viruses to go after more bacteria cells.

 

Phage therapy is standard treatment in Poland, Russia, Georgia and other Eastern European countries. What the docs in these countries do is take a culture sample and subject it to a number of phages to determine which one or ones are the most effective. One success story involves a woman from the US who had such a severe case of MRSA for seven years that her US doctors finally said there was nothing more they could do. She flew to the country of Georgia and after having her blood cultured she found out that she had 3 different MRSA strains that called for 3 different phages to be used, After three weeks of daily therapy, she was totally fine again.

 

You can now get this treatment legally mailed to you in the US if your infection is not too severe. Here’s what you need to do:

1.      Go to www.PhageTherpyCenter.com to register and describe your problem.

2.      You’ll need to send them your medical records and a bacterial sample.

3.      They’ll test the sample to determine if the infection can be treated by phages.

4.      If they find a phage that should work, a phage doctor in Tbilisi, Georgia will prescribe a treatment and mail  it to your home for you to apply. It usually comes in a liquid form.

5.      Severe cases will have to go to Eastern Europe to be treated directly.

6.      Costs for the home delivered treatment is around $600.

 

So…if you or someone you know gets an antibiotic resistant bug, I think phage therapy is the way to go. Unlike the woman I described above whose case was so severe, why suffer for 7 years when you can get well in days to weeks.

The Difference Yoga Makes For Wounded Soldiers And Soldiers Suffering From PTSD


A yoga instructor has been working with wounded soldiers as well as those suffering from PTSD for the past five years at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth Virginia. What the soldiers have been experiencing is increased mobility and peacefulness in their minds. One of the great things about yoga is you get benefit from whatever postures you able to do and the instructor can also modify them for each individual client. So…if yoga is helping wounded warriors and if you have an injury or have suffered a trauma, check out a yoga instructor who is trained to work with injured clients.

The Benefits Of Intermittent Fasting

 

Intermittent Fasting is eating on some days and going without food for a period of time on other days. That’s how our ancestors lived as they didn’t know when the next meal would show up. It turns out this type of fasting can improve your cardiovascular health, metabolic function and even reduce your cancer risk. As an example, a study published in Cell Stem Cell found that intermittent fasting causes your body to get rid of damaged white blood cells and replacing them with new ones. It also shifts stem cells from a dormant state to an active regenerative state by reducing the enzyme PKA during the fasting.

 

Researchers from the University of Southern California have found that while during prolonged fasting your white blood cell count drops, when you resume eating it goes back up again.

 

Others ways fasting will help you is by normalizing your insulin and leptin sensitivity and boosting your mitochondrial energy efficiency. It can increase human growth hormone (HGH) production by as much as 1,300 percent in women and 2,000 percent in men, and it increases health and fitness as it slows the aging process. It will also lower your triglyceride levels and stimulate your brain to release new brain cells while protecting you from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

 

So, how can you do intermittent fasting? There’s a book by Dr. Michael Mosley called  The Fast Diet: Lose Weight, Stay Healthy, and Live Longer with the Simple Secret of Intermittent Fasting. He recommends eating normally for five days and them fasting for two by cutting your calorie count down to about 600 calories for men and 500 for women. Also, make sure you drink plenty of water and tea.

 

Another approach to fasting  is recommended by Dr. Joe Mercola. He suggests going without food for 6 hours to up to 11 hours every day as you are healing your health issues. You can simply do this by making lunch your first meal fo the day. Once you’ve recovered, you can periodically fast to maintain your healthy state.

 

So…I know the idea of fasting can be daunting, but remember these amazing benefits and keep in mind you won’t starve to death from intermittent fasting.

 

Emotional Freedom Technique Creates Powerful Changes

The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a tapping of specific points on the body related to the energy meridian line system with your fingertips while saying positive affirmations. I talk about and demonstrate the meridian concept in many of my programs. Clinical trials have shown that EFT can rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and events that trigger emotional distress. EFT actually meets the criteria for evidence based treatments set by the American Psychological Association for a number of conditions, including post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).   1. A study of 18 institutionalized adolescent boys with histories of physical and psychological abuse showed a substantial decrease in intensity of traumatic memories after one EFT session.
  2. A study of 30 moderately to severely depressed college students were given four 90 minute EFT sessions. They showed significantly less depression than the control group three weeks later.
  3. Another study found that students experiencing EFT sessions experienced significantly greater increases in positive emotions.
  4. Finally, a study of 100 vets suffering from PTSD found that 60% no longer met the clinical definition of PTSD after 3 sessions and this number reached 90% after 6 sessions.
